James Carman, with his bag full of HyperParanoid copies, thoroughly enjoyed his time at the G-20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, last week where he particpated in a cultural connection event and presented his case on what Science Fiction and Human Rights have to do with each other. He extended his gratitude to The Instituto Bienal Amazônia (Amazon Biennial) and Saphira Ventura Gallery for making the experience unforgettable. Highlights of the trip included delivering a compelling presentation on Human Rights and Science Fiction to a passionate audience of activists, participating in TM meditations led by the David Lynch Foundation, and attending impactful lectures supporting indigenous Amazon communities. James also immersed himself in the vibrant energy of Rio, riding motorcycle taxis through crowded streets and capturing ethereal photos in the stunning Parque Lage, which he described as one of the most beautiful places he has ever seen.
